To capitalise on the growth opportunity, we have created an Apprenticeship Services Team within the BTEC & Apprenticeships business unit. This team is leading on targeting and engaging with levy paying employers, building new ways of working efficiently to deliver excellent services to our customers and promoting the one Pearson offer for Apprenticeships.

About the job

This job will play a vital role within the implementation of our end-point assessment (EPA) services. They will be joining a growing team, at an exciting time of fast-paced reform within the apprenticeships landscape. As the Senior EPA Administrator, you would support the end-to-end delivery of our EPA service. You will ensure that business processes are carried out to a high standard, in accordance with all appropriate internal and external requirements, and can withstand scrutiny by internal audit and key stakeholders - including external quality assurance bodies, regulators, employers, apprentices and parents.

You will also contribute to the ongoing review and continuous improvement of our EPA service, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and process efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Respond to email and telephone queries from internal and external customers/stakeholders, representing the EPA Delivery team

  • Produce communications, as appropriate to the audience

  • Use multiple IT packages, associated with the EPA delivery service

  • Manage Gateway evidence reviews

  • Input data and maintain associated records, related to overall certification claims

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers, and manage associated logistics and communications, related to IEA/IQA training and standardisation

  • Undertake data analysis, related to key areas of accountability

  • Maintain service-level agreements with regards to responding to EPA planning, operational activities, reports and submissions

  • Update and report on key management information to relevant team members, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate

  • Report all risks and issues, to relevant team members, including any suspected malpractice/maladministration or conflicts of interest

  • Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of EPA processes and systems, maintaining good working practices

  • Take responsibility for own learning and development, associated with the role and the wider work of the team/business unit.

Qualifications

Background and Experience (Essential):

  • Previous experience as a Senior Administrator role, ideally within a compliance-based role

  • Experience of providing business support in a busy, matrixed, environment

  • Experience of data input and data management, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality

  • Competent using IT, including databases, and common business support packages

  • Experience of note and minute taking

  • Experience of using defined business processes and giving guidance on them to colleagues

  • Experience of managing and prioritising own workload

  • Excellent organisation and planning skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
