About the job
Based out of Central London the post-holder forthis role is responsible for providing business administrative supportto two members of the BTEC and Apprenticeships Senior Management Teamand the team, facilitating meetings, communicating with customers and colleagues across the business, working with different teams and supporting various projects in line with strategic objectives.
Assisting with preparation for, and follow up actions from, meetings. This includes scheduling and planning time for meeting preparation, drafting and coordination of papers, scheduling meetings, monitoring and undertaking follow up actions.
Providing administrative support for the implementation and smooth running of a number of key projects and work streams, including meeting scheduling, preparation of minutes and associated action trackersand actions as well as following upon actions and ensuring meetings are run in an efficient manner
Capturing, documenting and producing associated reports
Focusing on delivering an excellent customer experience through all tasks, projects and processes
To be a point of contact with other departments across Pearson as required
To engage with the purchase order, invoicing and contracting processing
Managing complex, conflicting business diaries including organisation of itineraries, acting quickly to short notice changes, rescheduling and cancellation of appointments with tact.
Coordinate and plan trips, including arranging appropriate travel, visas, agendas and necessary contacts, country information, and other necessary preparations.
Management and organisation of celebratory events as well as other ad hoc events. Ensuring that feedback from attendees is sought and incorporated into future events
Co-ordinating communications to the Business units to ensure the maximisation of staff engagement, including working with Corporate Communications and other key stakeholders.
Working closely and effectively with external stakeholders, Board Members and professional bodies where required.
Managing the inbox and timeliness of response to external queries and communications for the SMT members.
Forming productive working relationships with members of the Senior Management Team including their assistants, assisting with queries, problems and ensuring swift resolution.

Minimum grade C in five subjects including English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent)
Business Administration Apprenticeship Level 3 Standard
During the Apprenticeship, the post holder will work towards gaining Level 3 qualifications in Business Administration through work based learning.
